Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Burton, MI, is dedicated to fostering a new generation of leaders committed to building a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and community-focused. This transformative program empowers Fellows through comprehensive education in organic food systems, enabling them to become effective advocates and educators. Over a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants learn by doing, engaging in diverse activities such as crop cultivation, school garden maintenance, and the integration of food literacy into educational settings. Post-fellowship, they continue to expand their impact during a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to enhance food access and promote healthy eating practices. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility and inclusivity, welcoming all who are passionate about fostering a just food system. Applications are accepted annually until March, with the program typically running from May to October.
