Located in Wiscasset, ME, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators committed to a just, sustainable food system. This fellowship empowers individuals through comprehensive, tuition-free training that emphasizes organic food systems, ecological literacy, and community engagement. Participants gain hands-on experience in growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health education, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. Over six months at the Allegheny Farm Campus, fellows immerse themselves in experiential learning before embarking on a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills in partnership with regional non-profits, enriching local food access and fostering a culture of healthy eating. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
