Participants will immerse themselves in organic food system education, working collaboratively to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health care education sessions, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. Additionally, Fellows play a crucial role in supporting farmers markets, enhancing access to healthy foods, and fostering community food coalitions. Over six months of hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a year of community-focused action, selected Fellows will apply their skills in partnership with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March each year, with experiences typically running from May to October.
