The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Union, ME is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders who are passionate about creating equitable and sustainable food systems. Through a comprehensive training program, we empower Fellows with essential skills in organic food education and community engagement. Fellows will have the opportunity to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health-focused educational sessions, manage school and community gardens, and promote food literacy. Our six-month immersive experience at Allegheny Farm equips participants with hands-on knowledge, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their learning with local non-profits. We believe in making this opportunity accessible, as there are no tuition fees, ensuring that all aspiring advocates can take part in this vital work. Applications are accepted until March for the fellowship period running from May to October each year.
