The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in South Paris, ME, is dedicated to empowering income-eligible adults with children through essential nutrition and health education. Our free program, available to those eligible for SNAP, WIC, or Head Start, offers invaluable learning experiences that cover cooking nutritious recipes, selecting healthy foods, saving money on groceries, ensuring food safety, and increasing physical activity. While our physical locations are temporarily closed for community safety, our dedicated educators are ready to provide engaging nutrition education classes remotely, either one-on-one or in small groups.
