The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in South China, ME, is dedicated to empowering income-eligible adults with children through valuable nutrition and health education, particularly for those participating in SNAP, WIC, or Head Start programs. Our free services help participants learn essential skills, such as cooking nutritious recipes, selecting healthy foods, saving money on groceries, ensuring food safety, and increasing physical activity. Although our physical offices are currently closed to prioritize community health, our educators are committed to providing remote nutrition education classes, available one-on-one or in small groups. We are eager to support your journey to better health and well-being, and updates regarding office reopening will be shared as they become available.
