The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in South Berwick, ME, offered through the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, is dedicated to supporting income-eligible adults with children, particularly those involved in programs like SNAP, WIC, or Head Start. Our mission is to empower families through accessible nutrition and health education, focusing on practical skills such as cooking nutritious recipes, selecting healthy foods, and effectively managing grocery budgets. Participants also learn essential food safety tips and discover ways to increase physical activity. Though our facilities are currently closed to ensure community health, we are committed to delivering our educational resources through remote classes, available one-on-one or in small groups.
