Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Oxford, ME US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Oxford, ME is dedicated to training and empowering a new generation of leaders committed to creating a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Our Fellowship promotes accessibility by not charging tuition, enabling enthusiastic Fellows to engage deeply in organic food system education. Over a transformative six-month period at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants grow and distribute diversified crops, run educational sessions in innovative health care, maintain community gardens, and teach food and ecological literacy in schools. As part of their training, they also support local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs, develop distribution channels for healthy foods, and mentor future cohorts. Following their immersive study, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. We invite passionate individuals to apply before March of each year to embark on a rewarding journey that makes a tangible impact in the community.
