The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Old Town, ME, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through a tuition-free program, we empower selected Fellows with comprehensive organic food system education and hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA. Over a transformative six-month residency, participants engage in market-style farming and cultivate a deep understanding of food and ecological literacy, while also developing initiatives that support local farmers' markets and community food coalitions. After their residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profit organizations to implement innovative health education and enhance access to fresh, healthy food. We welcome applications until March each year for a fellowship experience from May to October, striving to create a future where everyone has access to healthy, sustainable food.
