The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Norway, ME, is dedicated to equipping passionate individuals with the skills and knowledge to lead transformative changes in our food systems. This fellowship offers a comprehensive, tuition-free training program that empowers Fellows to advocate for food systems that prioritize social, environmental, and economic justice. Through hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm in Virginia, participants engage in organic food system education, cultivate diversified crops, and implement innovative health and ecological literacy programs. The Fellowship also emphasizes community involvement, allowing Fellows to maintain gardens, support local farmers markets, and collaborate with non-profits to increase access to healthy, sustainable food options. Selected Fellows embark on an immersive six-month experience followed by a Community Action Year, where they continue to apply their newfound skills alongside regional partners. Applications are accepted until March for opportunities beginning in May, fostering a new generation of leaders committed to equitable food systems.
