Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Norridgewock, ME US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Norridgewock, ME, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture through its comprehensive training program. By sponsoring and empowering Fellows, we focus on creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our Fellowship promotes accessibility by not charging tuition for our Farm and Food Study, allowing participants to engage deeply with organic food system education. Fellows have the opportunity to grow and market diverse crops, lead innovative health-focused educational sessions, maintain community and school gardens, and enhance food and ecological literacy in schools. With a focus on increasing access to healthy foods through farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives, we also encourage collaboration with regional non-profits during the Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their learning in real-world settings. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the immersive experience taking place from May to October.
