The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Lisbon Falls, ME, is dedicated to fostering a new generation of advocates for equitable and sustainable food systems. This immersive program offers hands-on training in organic farming and food education, empowering Fellows to engage with their communities in meaningful ways. Participants will learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, manage community and school gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy. The fellowship includes a comprehensive six-month experiential study at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, where skills are applied in collaboration with local non-profit organizations. Our commitment to accessibility means there are no tuition fees, ensuring that anyone passionate about creating change in the food system can join us on this transformative journey. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience spanning from May to October, promoting active involvement in strengthening local food networks and advocating for a just food ecosystem.
