The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kennebunkport, ME, is dedicated to empowering future leaders who advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training, our Fellows gain hands-on experience in organic food system education, where they work on diverse projects ranging from market-style farming to implementing innovative health care educational sessions. Our commitment to accessibility means we do not charge tuition, ensuring that passionate individuals can participate in this transformative program. Over six months, selected Fellows engage in experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus and then apply their skills in a Community Action Year alongside regional non-profit organizations. This fellowship fosters the development of community gardens, support for farmers markets, and initiatives that enhance food and ecological literacy, all aimed at increasing access to healthy foods. Applications are open until March each year for a program running from May to October.
