The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Gray, ME is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Our program provides comprehensive, hands-on training to empower individuals to become effective teachers and advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. We offer a unique, tuition-free educational experience that emphasizes organic food system education, including opportunities to grow and distribute diverse crops, lead community education sessions on health, maintain gardens, and enhance food literacy within educational settings. Fellows engage in innovative projects to support local farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives while collaborating with nonprofit organizations during their Community Action Year. The Fellowship spans six months of immersive learning at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by practical application in the community, fostering a network of empowered advocates dedicated to increasing access to healthy food.
