Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB), a program of the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets, is dedicated to enhancing food access for low-income families in Farmington, ME, by providing nutrition incentives at local farmers’ markets, CSA farms, and farm stands. Through our initiative, shoppers using SNAP/EBT earn $5 in Maine Harvest Bucks for every $10 they spend, allowing them to make healthier food choices while supporting local agriculture. Participants can use the Bucks immediately or save them for future purchases, ensuring their access to fresh, local produce.
