Diana Stark is a compassionate counselor who believes that the decision to begin counseling signifies both courage and hope. She understands that engaging in therapy opens the door to the possibility of feeling better. Through her work, Diana explores her clients' thoughts, feelings, and actions with curiosity, compassion, and even a touch of playfulness. She is dedicated to helping individuals understand themselves more profoundly, maximize their strengths, and make positive life changes. Diana has a particular interest in supporting teens (17+) and adults as they navigate challenges related to relationships, grief, critical illness, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and parenting. She holds an MS in Counseling and a Certificate of Expertise in Family Systems from the University of Southern Maine, alongside completing clinical mental health internships at the New England Family Institute and the EAP at L.L. Bean. Utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques such as Person-Centered, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, and Play-Therapy, Diana fosters a supportive environment for individuals and families. Her rich background includes serving as the Tender Living Care Program Manager at the Center for Grieving Children and over 23 years of experience as a parent, along with roles as a classroom teacher and art director at a day camp.
