Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB), a proud initiative of the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets in Falmouth, ME, is dedicated to enhancing food assistance for low-income shoppers by providing essential nutrition incentives. Each time participants spend $10 using SNAP/EBT at our partner farmers’ markets, community-supported agriculture farms, and local farm stands, they receive an additional $5 in Maine Harvest Bucks, allowing them to access fresh, local produce while stretching their food budget. These Bucks can be utilized immediately or saved for a future visit, ensuring that nutritious food is accessible to all in our community.
