The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Falmouth, ME, is dedicated to empowering individuals to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This hands-on program offers an immersive, six-month experience at the picturesque Allegheny Farm in Virginia, where selected Fellows engage in organic food system education and practical applications. By collaborating with local non-profit organizations, Fellows learn to cultivate diversified crops, lead educational sessions on innovative health care, and support vital initiatives like community gardens and farmers markets. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring a diverse group of advocates can participate and contribute to a healthier, equitable food landscape. This fellowship not only trains the next generation of food leaders but also actively promotes food assistance and healthy food access in our communities. Applications are accepted until March each year for the program running from May to October.
