The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Caribou, ME, is dedicated to fostering knowledgeable advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Through practical, hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, our program empowers individuals to lead initiatives that promote social, environmental, and economic justice within food systems. We provide a tuition-free fellowship to ensure accessibility, offering organic food system education, support for community gardens, and innovative collaborations with local farmers and markets. Our Fellows immerse themselves in a six-month residential study followed by a Community Action Year, where they gain real-world experience applying their knowledge to improve food access and educate communities. Interested candidates should submit their applications by March for the opportunity to join us from May to October and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
