The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Buxton, ME, offers free, essential nutrition education and health resources for income-eligible adults with children, particularly those qualified for SNAP, WIC, or Head Start. Our mission is to empower families by providing practical skills to cook nutritious meals, select healthy foods, save money on groceries, ensure food safety, and encourage an active lifestyle. While our physical locations are currently closed for community safety, we are committed to continuing our reach through remote nutrition education classes, available one-on-one or in small groups. As we prepare to reopen in line with University of Maine guidelines, we look forward to welcoming you back for in-person support and ongoing education in food assistance and health education.
