Our program provides selected Fellows with comprehensive training and firsthand experience at Allegheny Farm in Virginia, where they engage in organic food system education that spans social, environmental, and economic justice. We empower our Fellows to lead initiatives in diverse areas such as growing and distributing crops, enhancing community gardens, implementing innovative health care education, and fostering food and ecological literacy in schools. With no tuition fees, accessibility is at the heart of our mission, inviting passionate individuals to participate without financial barriers. The Fellowship consists of a six-month hands-on learning experience followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their skills through partnerships with local non-profits, significantly impacting food access and community health. Interested candidates should submit their applications by March for the opportunity to immerse themselves in this transformative journey from May to October each year.
