Her integrative therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based modalities. Specializing in health psychology, she understands the intricate connections between physical, emotional, mental, and environmental factors that influence overall health. In addition to traditional psychotherapy techniques, Dr. Umpierre focuses on enhancing health behaviors such as sleep, mindfulness, relaxation, and physical activity to promote overall wellness. As a postdoctoral fellow, she provides both couples therapy and individual therapy, particularly for clients navigating challenges related to life transitions, self-worth, interpersonal dynamics, ADHD, and mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder.
