The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Brewer, ME, empowers passionate individuals to lead sustainable food initiatives and advocate for a fair and just food system. This comprehensive program offers a transformative six-month residential experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where Fellows engage in hands-on organic food system education. Our dedicated participants work alongside community partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, enhance educational health programs, and manage school and community gardens. With a commitment to increasing access to healthy foods, Fellows support farmers markets, cultivate ecological literacy, and engage in community food coalition efforts. By undertaking a Community Action Year following their training, they apply their learning in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations, helping to create lasting impacts in the communities they serve. We are proud to offer this program without tuition fees, promoting inclusivity and accessibility for all aspiring food leaders.
