Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Biddeford, ME US
Located in Biddeford, ME, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship provides a transformative opportunity for individuals committed to promoting a fair and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, our Fellows gain hands-on experience in organic food system education, empowering them to become advocates and educators in their communities. This tuition-free program emphasizes accessibility, enabling participants to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health-centered educational initiatives, and maintain community gardens that enhance food literacy. Over six months of immersive, experiential learning followed by a Community Action Year, our Fellows work collaboratively with local non-profits, supporting farmers markets and increasing access to healthy foods. We encourage all prospective participants to apply by March for the fellowship experience that typically runs from May to October each year.
