The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bath, ME, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders committed to advancing a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This immersive program provides aspiring advocates with hands-on training and organic food system education while ensuring accessibility by charging no tuition. Selected Fellows engage in a transformative six-month experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement innovative health education sessions, maintain community gardens, and teach food and ecological literacy in schools. By collaborating with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year, Fellows support farmers' markets, develop channels for healthy food access, and actively contribute to community food coalition initiatives. Applications are open until March each year, with experiences typically running from May to October.
