Shinelle Oglesby, MS, NCC, LCPC, serves as the CEO and Clinical Director of the Urban Trauma Counseling Center. This dedicated facility focuses on providing mental health and substance abuse counseling for adults, with a strong commitment to helping individuals heal from traumatic experiences and improve their overall well-being. Viewing her role as a compassionate partner in the therapeutic process, Shinelle guides clients toward healing and growth, particularly those grappling with trauma, traumatic grief, and issues related to self-worth and self-esteem. Her expertise encompasses a variety of mental health challenges, including Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, and PTSD. Utilizing an integrative psychodynamic approach, she employs evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's unique needs. These approaches include mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). At Urban Trauma Counseling Center, the counseling environment fosters active participation in self-discovery within a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space.
