MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Suitland, MD, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through effective weight management and health promotion initiatives. Our mission is to annually screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity and provide tailored weight management services that align with each individual's needs and preferences. We offer a comprehensive range of support, including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE! for convenient in-home messaging and clinician contact. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, our MOVE! Coach mobile app is available, along with options for weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who continue to face challenges after trying the program. Each service is customized based on facility capabilities, and we encourage Veterans interested in weight loss to connect with their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to get started on their journey to better health.
