Simple Cooking with Heart, part of the YMCA's Culinary and Nutrition Education program in Suitland, MD, is dedicated to empowering SNAP-eligible residents in the DC area through essential cooking and nutrition education. Our engaging four-week classes not only equip participants with valuable culinary skills but also promote healthy eating habits by providing two free bags of home-delivered produce to participating households. Currently offered virtually, our program aims to enhance food accessibility and improve dietary choices, fostering a healthier community one meal at a time.
