MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program in Oakland, MD, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through effective weight management and personalized health promotion strategies. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities is screened for obesity each year and has access to tailored weight management services that meet their individual needs and preferences. We offer a variety of support options including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which provides in-home messaging and clinician contact as needed. For those who prefer to manage their progress independently, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans facing ongoing weight-related challenges after participating in our program.
