Lori Ochs

Lori Ochs, MSW, LCSW-C, BCPCC, is a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor who provides care that is both distinctively Christian and clinically excellent. She has undergone extensive evaluation by the AACC, demonstrating personal integrity, advanced education in biblical principles, and strong clinical skills. Lori sees her role as that of an encourager who brings problems into the light, applying biblical truths to promote healing. She lends hope to the hopeless, prescribes effective interventions, teaches healthy coping skills, and challenges outdated thought patterns. With a belief that while therapy is a method, only Jesus is the true healer, Lori treats children, families, couples, and individuals facing various issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, eating disorders, and infidelity. She has shared her expertise as a lecturer at the University of Maryland Graduate School of Social Work and facilitates individual, couples, and family therapy with a focus on cognitive behavioral, insight-oriented, and strengths-based treatment. Welcoming individuals from all walks of life, Lori integrates her clinical training with the love and grace of Jesus, making her sessions a warm and supportive space for all, regardless of their faith journey.
