Emily Dufrane

Counselor, LCPC

Lutherville Timonium, MD US
Emily Dufrane, LCPC, is a compassionate counselor dedicated to guiding individuals through their personal journeys of healing and self-discovery. Emily believes that while we are all born with the ability to see, our perceptions are shaped by traumatic experiences, intimate relationships, and societal influences. She recognizes that culture often pressures individuals to conform for acceptance, to alter their beliefs and bodies, and to prioritize work over living fully. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, Emily assists her clients in uncovering their most authentic selves and harnessing their strengths, enabling them to navigate life's ebbs and flows according to their values, needs, and desires. Emily works with individuals aged 15 and older with a trauma-informed, mind-body-spirit approach. She skillfully employs both top-down and bottom-up processing techniques as well as creative interventions such as art, music, nature, and movement to facilitate shifts in awareness and emotional regulation. Additionally, Emily utilizes Brainspotting therapy, offering it as an adjunct service for those already engaged in talk therapy. She firmly believes that love, empathy, and understanding are the keys to emotional and bodily liberation. By fostering a space of compassionate curiosity, Emily supports her clients in moving away from judgment and towards acceptance and inner peace. She is eager to accompany others on their path to healing.
