The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Leonardtown, MD, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of food justice advocates through comprehensive training and hands-on experience. At the Allegheny Farm, participants engage in a six-month immersive program that focuses on organic food systems education, emphasizing social, environmental, and economic equity. This fellowship empowers participants to grow and distribute diversified crops, maintain school and community gardens, and integrate food literacy into local education efforts. Fellows will also support farmers markets, enhance access to healthy foods, and collaborate with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year. With no tuition charged, we prioritize accessibility for all, inviting passionate individuals to join us in reshaping our local food systems. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
