Family Shelter Program

At the Family Shelter Program in Hanover, MD, we are dedicated to providing compassionate support for families facing shelter crises. Our facility offers 33 beds for those in need of emergency shelter, welcoming clients into a safe and nurturing environment for up to three months. Each family is paired with a dedicated case manager who creates a personalized case plan to address specific challenges and foster stability. We understand that sometimes additional time is necessary, so residents have the option to apply for a three-month extension, with a potential maximum stay of six months under special circumstances. Beyond shelter, our staff offers vital supportive services including job search assistance, budgeting guidance, parenting education, and referrals for mental health and social services. We also provide resources for transportation and limited financial assistance to help families regain their footing and build a brighter future together.
