They also play a pivotal role in fostering food and ecological literacy in schools and enhancing access to healthy food options. Following their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, further applying their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March each year, with program activities taking place from May to October.
