Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Fallston, MD, is dedicated to equipping passionate individuals with the knowledge and skills to advocate for a food system that upholds social, environmental, and economic justice. Offered through the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this transformative program eliminates tuition barriers, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring leaders. Fellows engage in organic food system education, hands-on experience growing and distributing diverse crops, and innovative health education initiatives. They play vital roles in maintaining community gardens, enhancing food literacy in schools, and supporting local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer sales. Selected participants immerse themselves in a six-month, experiential residency at the AMI campus, culminating in a Community Action Year where they apply their training with regional non-profits.
