MOVE! Weight Management Program

The MOVE! Weight Management Program in Essex, MD, is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion services. Our mission is to support every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities by screening for obesity and connecting them with tailored weight management options that match their unique needs and preferences. We offer a range of services, including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which provides in-home messaging and clinician support. For those who prefer a more self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we provide weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who continue to face challenges despite participating in MOVE!.
