Grocery Assistance Program (GAP)

The Grocery Assistance Program (GAP) in Essex, MD, provides compassionate and practical grocery shopping support for individuals who are unable to shop for themselves. Through our dedicated volunteers, clients benefit from a no-cost shopping and delivery service, where they only pay for the groceries purchased on their behalf. Our volunteers not only handle shopping but also deliver the groceries and can assist with putting them away if needed. GAP is committed to supporting those who receive home-delivered meals and others who are aging in place, ensuring they have access to essential food assistance and maintaining their independence.
