Cold Weather Shelter

In Ellicott City, MD, Cold Weather Shelter offers vital emergency shelter services during the harsh winter months, from November through March. Our program is community-driven, with local congregations hosting the shelter for one or two weeks, providing essential support through volunteers who assist with transportation, meals, and laundry while also staffing the shelter. Grassroots coordinates these efforts, ensuring a seamless experience with a dedicated team leader available whenever the shelter is open. We invite community members and congregations to join us in this crucial mission to provide warmth and safety for those in need during the cold season.
