Cold Weather Shelter

The Cold Weather Shelter in Elkridge, MD, is dedicated to providing critical emergency shelter during the harsh winter months from November through March. This essential program relies on local congregations to host the shelter on a rotating basis, offering a warm and safe haven for those in need. Volunteers play a vital role by assisting with transportation, meals, and laundry, as well as working shifts to ensure that the shelter operates smoothly. Grassroots oversees the administration and supports each hosting congregation with a designated team leader during shelter hours, reinforcing our commitment to community and care.
