Family Shelter Program

The Family Shelter Program in Columbia, MD, provides a safe haven for families facing shelter crises with 33 dedicated beds in our emergency shelter. We understand the urgency of securing stable housing, which is why we offer our clients a provisional stay of up to three months, with the possibility of a three-month extension in certain situations. Each family is paired with a compassionate case manager who collaborates with them to create a tailored case plan addressing their unique challenges and needs. Our services go beyond housing; we offer supportive counseling, job and apartment search assistance, budgeting and parenting skills training, as well as referrals for mental health, social services, and addiction treatment. Limited transportation and financial assistance are also available to support families on their journey toward stability.
