Family Shelter Program

At the Family Shelter Program in Columbia, MD, we provide a safe haven for families facing a shelter crisis, featuring 33 beds in our emergency shelter. Our program offers short-term support with a maximum stay of six months, allowing families time to regain stability. Each family is paired with a dedicated case manager who collaborates closely to create a tailored case plan addressing their unique needs and challenges. As families navigate this journey, we offer supportive counseling, job search assistance, budgeting and parenting skills training, and essential referrals for mental health and social services. We also ensure that transportation and limited financial aid are available to ease the transition back to independence. Our compassionate team is committed to walking alongside families, providing the resources and care needed to rebuild their lives together.
