Hyeshin Park

Dr. Hyeshin Park is a dedicated Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, holding a PhD, MSSA, and LCSW-C. Specializing in helping teens and adults navigate the complexities of addiction, mood disorders, and relationship issues, she understands the anxiety that can arise when individuals feel a disconnect between their desired and actual states in behaviors, work, or relationships. Dr. Park emphasizes the importance of understanding how past experiences, family dynamics, and cultural values shape individual decision-making. She is committed to helping clients identify healthier coping strategies and facilitate positive change through culturally sensitive and narrative therapy approaches, among others. By providing a safe and respectful environment, she collaborates with clients individually or with their families to tackle their unique concerns. Dr. Park’s ultimate goal is to enhance self-awareness and improve communication, empowering her clients to lead more fulfilling lives. Fluent in both English and Korean, she also teaches at the University of Maryland, School of Social Work, and serves as an honorary council at My Life Foundation, focused on substance use and addiction among Asian Americans. Trained in Gottman Method therapy for couples, she is also a board-approved supervisor for LMSWs, enriching the therapeutic community.
