Karen Katrinic

Karen Katrinic, MS, LCMFT, is a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience in working with individuals, couples, and families. She is passionate about helping clients create meaningful changes within themselves and in their relationships. Karen believes in the innate potential of everyone to live their fullest lives, and she assists her clients in unlocking their internal resources. Alongside traditional talk therapy, she is certified in EMDR, an experiential therapy that allows clients to dismantle unhelpful neural pathways and build healthier ones. Licensed to practice across four states—Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia—Karen recognizes the uniqueness of each client. Acknowledging that traditional approaches may not always suffice, she incorporates experiential techniques such as art therapy, play and filial therapy, sandtray therapy, and EMDR to help clients access blocked parts of themselves. Karen's wide array of therapeutic modalities serves to support individuals from childhood to elderhood, addressing common issues like anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, and more.
