Michaela Ferro

Michaela Ferro is a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 7 years of experience specializing in child therapy. With a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Lasell College, Michaela adopts an integrative approach that enables children and families to recognize their strengths and collaboratively navigate their struggles. She believes that 'Children do well if they can; if they can't, we adults need to figure out what’s getting in the way, so we can help' – a philosophy inspired by Dr. Ross Greene. Michaela utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, creating a comfortable and positive environment for her clients. Her areas of expertise encompass ASD, Nonverbal Learning Disorder, developmental delays, anxiety, self-esteem, and trauma, all of which are addressed thoughtfully in her teletherapy sessions.
