Donald Lincoln Paine

Donald Lincoln Paine is a dedicated internal-external therapist who focuses on increasing awareness of the internal parts of individuals and how these aspects may interfere with or facilitate their experiences in life, family, work, and faith—referred to as external systems. With 20 years of therapy experience, he has spent the last four years recovering from two significant traumas, one emotional and the other physical, that occurred between 2014 and 2018. These transformative events reshaped his life, relationships, and the approach he takes when developing intervention plans, which are now deeply rooted in the interconnectedness or fragmentation of his clients' inner and outer worlds. As a trained Internal Family Systems Therapist, Donald creates a welcoming environment that identifies and embraces all parts within individuals, whether they are helpful or troublesome. He invites clients to foster a healthy interaction with their internal systems and find ways to unburden those parts that hinder healthy living and relationships. The true source of healing lies not within the therapist, but within each individual. Having navigated through his own whirlwind of emotional pain and recovery, which included surviving a severe car accident that left him physically fractured, Donald has emerged with a renewed passion for helping others achieve healing and wellness.
