Based in North Dartmouth, MA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This transformative program empowers selected Fellows with essential training in organic food system education, enabling them to teach and advocate for practices that are socially, environmentally, and economically beneficial. Throughout a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage deeply in hands-on learning, growing and distributing diverse crops, and implementing innovative educational programs in health care, schools, and communities. Fellows also contribute to maintaining community gardens, supporting farmers markets, and promoting food and ecological literacy. After their fellowship, they embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to apply their skills and further enhance access to nutritious food. With a commitment to eliminating financial barriers, AMI does not charge tuition for this invaluable experience. Applications are open until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
