Susan Nisenbaum Becker

Susan Nisenbaum Becker, LCSW, LADC, RDT, has dedicated over 20 years to the field of private practice and maintains an engaging and passionate approach to her work. She is committed to establishing a strong rapport and empathetic connection with each client, serving as an ally and guide in their journey. Susan emphasizes building a collaborative working relationship where clients feel safe to explore and transform their challenges related to addiction, mood disorders, relationship issues, spirituality, parenting, life transitions, and self-esteem, among others. Her extensive training is eclectic, combining elements from psychodynamic theory, gestalt therapy, Eriksonian hypnosis, family systems, EMDR, and mindfulness practices. Additionally, being a theater artist and published poet, she incorporates innovative theater-based practices to enhance presentation and communication skills at organizational levels. Known for her excellent listening skills and ability to engage humorously when appropriate, Susan firmly believes in the potential for change and transformation. She tailors her therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of her clients, offering both long-term therapy and short-term targeted coaching. Moreover, her sweet retriever, Maccan, adds a comforting presence to her office environment.
