Mathew Barbosa, MA, LMHC, is a compassionate and experienced counselor dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey to healing and personal growth. He recognizes that the decision to seek counseling can be daunting, often stemming from a place of feeling stuck despite attempts to improve one's situation. Mathew’s mission is to empower clients to become 'unstuck' and take meaningful steps towards a more fulfilling life. With a warm and non-judgmental approach, he employs techniques from various therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused strategies to meet the unique needs of each client. Mathew’s expertise covers a wide range of issues, including depression, trauma and PTSD, and anxiety, and he works with teenagers, adults, and elders (65+). He believes in the transformative power of therapy and looks forward to guiding individuals towards a richer, more meaningful existence, helping them navigate the obstacles that life presents.
