At McLean Hospital, I am excited to offer a unique opportunity for individuals seeking specialized help for complex Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (cPTSD) and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), particularly those who have experienced childhood trauma, such as physical or sexual abuse. My focus is on DBT-PTSD, an evidence-based treatment tailored specifically for clients whose challenges involve distress from both BPD and PTSD simultaneously.
Over the course of 45 weekly individual sessions, I help clients engage in transformative work through psychoeducation about trauma, fostering self-compassion, and developing crucial DBT skills aimed at managing dissociation, avoidance, and complex emotional responses. The treatment includes exposure-based trauma-focused therapy and equips clients with skills to lead a more engaged and fulfilling life.
Having been trained by Dr. Martin Bohus, an expert in the fields of BPD and trauma therapy, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care designed to meet the varied needs of those affected by severe interpersonal violence. Many clients experience profound improvements in their mental health, even in outpatient settings, through our collaborative efforts to address each individual's unique experiences and symptoms. I look forward to guiding you on your journey toward healing and resilience.
