Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Wellington, KS empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows gain hands-on experience in organic food system education, which includes growing and distributing diversified crops, implementing innovative healthcare educational sessions, and maintaining community gardens. The Fellowship promotes accessibility by waiving tuition fees, ensuring that aspiring leaders can focus on integrating food and ecological literacy into educational programs and supporting local farmers markets. Selected participants engage in a transformative six-month residency, followed by a Community Action Year where they partner with regional non-profit organizations to apply their skills in real-world settings. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the immersive experience running from May to October.
